Lacquer (colour)
Layers of matte acrylic medium were applied to a whitened wooden panel, part of which was given a bright colour. 25 to 30 coats of matte acrylic soften the colours. Sometimes gloss lacquer is applied as the last layer, in planes or in lines.
As they walk along the work, the viewer sees flashes of reflections. Light reflects off parts of the surface which appear to move.

Lacquer (black and white)
The work consists of many layers of gloss acrylic lacquer (30 to 50) on a whitened wooden panel as a base. The lacquer is applied layer by layer with a spalter (wide flat brush).
The lines drawn on the successive layers show the depth of the work.
